A man from Boynton Beach, Florida recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Princess Cruise Lines earlier this year.
One year after the death of his wife, Jerome Leftow filed the suit on May 30th, 2017 in the U.S. District Court of Central California. Leftow believes that the death of his wife Sarah was caused directly by the negligence of the Princess Cruise Line.
According to Leftow, Sarah fell while in her cabin on the cruise ship and was seen promptly by the ship’s doctor. She also had a fever, so the ship’s doctor ordered Jerome and Sarah off the ship in order to be taken to a hospital in France. Sarah passed away five weeks later while being treated in France.
Leftow believes that the ship’s doctor acted negligently in ordering the pair off of the ship in France and that Princess Cruise Lines failed in hiring fully qualified doctors and nurses.
In the lawsuit, Leftow is seeking compensatory damages of over $75,000.
